Abstract Landscape
Date: College Freshman, August 2010
Time: An hour or more (?)
Materials: Staedler Colored Pencil
Description: A colored pencil drawing of a desert landscape with large/oversized green leaves sticking out of some of the hills. There is a river with a boat going down the middle that turns into a desert path with a small person walking down it as you get farther away. At the part where there would normally be a sun, the path goes into a large fire. The sky is like a sunset sky, and is filled with a dragon, a ribbon, blocks and blobs and blue fireballs, along with a gray sphere.
Artist’s Comments: My friend got me a pencil set, actually a year before this drawing. I didn’t want to use them because I wanted to keep them for something special. Then later, I decided that I should use them anyway, otherwise they would be useless! So I tested out the colors. It turned out, the box had no purple, so I had to mix pink and dark blue to get that color.
