Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil
Just another design that a snake would never hold an orb with, but it looks nice. It is entertaining to see people try to follow the snake with their finger to see if it works. I assure you, it does.

Date: High School Sophomore, 2008 Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil I somewhat improved and somewhat worsened in drawing the snake and orb figurine. I improved the head to look more realistic and I shaded it to look three-dimensional. However, since I was not tracing, I accidentally altered the body slightly so the snake now looks like it bends in fairly sharp angles and does not look as serpentine. It is entertaining to see people try to follow the snake with their finger to see if it works. I assure you, it does. Date: High School Sophomore, 2008 Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil I dreamed a strange dream and decided to make a story out of it. One of the things I added to my story (it was not in my dream) was a shelf of figurines. This was one of my ideas, and it was only a sketch to see if I could make it look a certain way. However, the head seemed a tad strange and cartoon-like. It is entertaining to see people try to follow the snake with their finger to see if it works. I assure you, it does. Date: High School Sophomore, 2008 Materials: Crayola Colored Pencils I started experimenting with Crayola Colored Pencils and it turned out well. I had experience with Crayola in 4th grade. I used to color lineart in rainbows that blended together. (Rainbow is not as bad as it sounds, my rainbow coloring won me 1st place in my city’s Youth Library Bookmark Coloring Contest.) Date: High School Sophomore, 2008 Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil This was all done using mechanical 0.9 pencil. Most people don’t believe me when I say this, but it is true. Also, I don’t normally time my work, but I know this took a long time to fill it in. I was bored and had lots of time so this is my time filler. Date: High School Sophomore, 2008 Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil This used up two sticks of mechanical 0.9 pencil. It was a time where I felt invisible and started to relate to myself as a ghost. I also started thinking more about ghosts and their stereotype. An entity that is trapped between two worlds. Sometimes longing to go to one particular world, or searching for answers there. Date: High School Sophomore, 2008 Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil I was going to my grandma’s 80th birthday party and I was bored in the restaurant. I started to draw whatever was on the table that I figured I would be able to do. I don’t normally do still life because it’s somewhat more boring than creating something new that was never seen before, but I was already bored, so it was fine. |
