Claw and Candle
Date: High School Senior, October, 2009
Time: An hour or more (?)
Materials: Crayola Colored Pencil
Description: A three fingered claw opened up and holding a single red candle. The flame is the light source for the claw’s shading and it makes a circle of light for the background. The rest is colored black, but only in a circle.
Artist’s Comments: It was the week before Halloween, and my English teacher wanted us to draw Halloween stuff, and this is what I drew. I didn’t fill the rest of the page with black because I didn’t want to waste all the black colored pencil.
