Dragon (9) and Orb
Date: High School Senior, Summer, 2009
Time: An hour or more (?)
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
Description: A shaded pencil drawing of an orb/sphere, with a dragon wrapped around it and looking at the viewer. The only parts of the dragon showing are its head, two wings, and tail. Black, gray, white, three-dimensional.
Artist’s Comments: Since I learned how to draw dragons, I figured I would use my technique of wrapping a snake around an orb in an interesting way. This time, I used a dragon. Or something similar to a dragon, as I call any lizard with wings (beside the Chinese dragon) a dragon.
