Shaded Dragon
Date: High School Junior, January 2009
Time: Several hours
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil
Description: Shaded version of my first Dragon art piece. A white dragon with a long neck, body, and tail. It is sitting with its elbows on the ground and one arm crossed over the other, its tail is wrapped around toward the front. There are small spikes along its spine and has two horns coming out of its head. Light coming from the left. Black, white, gray, pencil shading, three-dimensional, realistic.
Artist’s CommentsI traced over my original Dragon so I could shade it without losing the line art. I think the head looks different in the shaded version.
