Love
Date: High School Senior, September, 2009
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
There was a challenge that I started where I was supposed to draw a picture relating to a theme. One theme was “Love” and this is what I drew.
Name Design
Date: High School Senior, 2009
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil, Some Crayola Colored Pencil
I had an assignment to put my name on a folder in a decorative way. It was a way to express myself. I personally just like the way I drew the dragon.
Dark Sketch
Date: High School Senior, September, 2009
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
Another drawing for the theme challenge. This is just a sketch, I later shaded it in.
Dark Shading
Date: High School Senior, September, 2009
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
I started shading “Dark Sketch” and made some touch ups, like shortening the fingers on one hand.
Dark
Date: High School Senior, September, 2009
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
Finally finished my drawing for the theme challenge! It took a lot of time to shade, as usual.
Broken Heart
Date: High School Senior, September 2009
Materials: Pen, BIC Marker
My cousin had some markers and they were really great. They didn’t leave streaks that made it look like marker. They colored in solid colors, it was perfect for what I was imagining. This was mostly a doodle that turned into something greater.
Dragon 12
Date: High School Senior, September, 2009
Materials: BIC Markers
I got my own BIC markers after finding out how great they were. This was mostly just to test out all the colors that the kit provided. I like this mostly because of the dragon, as the colors don’t exactly match or mix well in this picture, except for the red and black.
Claw and Candle
Date: High School Senior, October, 2009
Materials: Crayola Colored Pencil
It was the week before Halloween, and my English teacher wanted us to draw Halloween stuff, and this is what I drew.
Dragon 13
Date: High School Senior, December, 2009
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
More practice drawing dragons. I like this view/pose because you can see the wings well. I also like how I’ve drawn the mouth and eyes on this dragon.
Dragon 14
Date: High School Senior, December, 2009
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
I tried to make this look less symmetrical. Maybe it would look a little more realistic if it wasn’t perfectly mirror image on the other side of the body?
Christmas Dragon Tree
Date: High School Senior, December, 2009
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
It’s a dragon with wings folded around it. I wanted to make it look like a Christmas tree. The star on top is supposed to be the tail of the dragon. I say this in case you cannot see it for it is not colored in a way that you’d be able to tell easily.
Christmas Dragon (15)
Date: High School Senior, December, 2009
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
I wanted to draw a dragon tangled up in Christmas tree supplies. I think it’s adorable. It’s interesting how much a little shading can do. Even though I shaded it only a little, rather than my super shading that I normally do.
Dragon 16
Date: High School Senior, December, 2009
Materials: BIC Marker (black, red, yellow); Rosart Colored Pencil (red)
I made the flames blending by drawing them with red colored pencil, and then coloring them in with yellow marker. I used Rosart instead of Crayola because Rosart doesn’t become shiny when you color, so when I go over with marker, it doesn’t suddenly shine where the colored pencil is. Rosart also blends more with the marker. I suppose I drew this dragon because I liked the one I drew before, but it had a strange background. I was also drawing this for a friend, who likes dragons as well.
Dragon 17
Date: High School Senior, December, 2009
Materials: BIC Marker; Rosart Colored Pencil
Ever since finding out about mixing colored pencil and marker, I wanted to practice with it. So I made an entire practice page with different colors just cause I wanted to practice the colors. Didn’t worry that I don’t normally do dragons that color.
Desert Landscape
Date: High School Senior, December, 2009
Materials: Pastel; Tissues
I never knew anything about pastels before drawing this. These was yet another experiment page, this time centered around pastels I got for Christmas. So I knew you could smudge with pastel, and my finger was getting sore, so I ended up using a tissue to smudge it. I think it looks pretty good for the first time using them.
