Dragon 31
Date: College Freshman, December 4th, 2010
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
I wanted to draw something that would improve my mood, but I ended up drawing my mood in dragon form. I continued to add on things that made the dragon more depressing, just to try and show how sad I really was. I suppose this is sort of practice on expressing moods with my drawings. I edited this in PhotoShop to make it brighter with bolder lines.
Ribbons
Date: College Freshman, December 6th, 2010
Materials: Crayola Colored Pencils
I felt like drawing something with bright colors and to experiment with blending colors. Originally, I had a black background in mind, but a white background looks nice as well. I personally like the bluish-purple/gold looking ribbon, and I think it’s because they have two sets of complimentary colors next to each other. Whereas other ribbons tend to only have one set or none, mixed with other colors.
Ribbons w/Black BG
Date: College Freshman, December 6th, 2010
Materials: Crayola Colored Pencils, Adobe PhotoShop
I felt like drawing something with bright colors and to experiment with blending colors. Originally, I had a black background in mind. I edited it in PhotoShop to put an easy black background instead of coloring one in myself with pencil. I personally like the bluish-purple/gold looking ribbon, and I think it’s because they have two sets of complimentary colors next to each other. Whereas other ribbons tend to only have one set or none, mixed with other colors.
Halloween Costume Drawing
Date: College Freshman, December 9th, 2010
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
I drew what I imagined to be myself in my Halloween costume, though the head is the only thing I paid particular attention to. The makeup on my face is white around the eyes and the rest is black just so you can get a color scheme of things.
Portrait
Date: College Freshman, December 9th, 2010
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 Pencil
After drawing a simple face, I decided to try and draw a face from a picture. It took about an hour or two to get it right. I had a very hard time doing the nose, but I eventually got it the gist of it after a few million tries.
