City Park
Date: College Third Year, August, 2013
Time: Painted for 4 hours a week for a few weeks.
Materials: Oil paint, canvas, hard brushes, soft brushes.
Description: A park in the city with clouds in the sky, tall, mostly blue, some brown city buildings, many trees and a smooth, still reflectinglake with a white gazebo with a dark brown roof, brown pathway, and white benches, with yellow and red flowers along the green grass.
Artist Comments: Wanted to paint something and decided to do a landscape instead of a dragon. Inspired by a picture I took in a park in Chicago, but I didn't look at anything a picture or anything while painting it and added my own gazebo and lake and stuff. I liked the contrast between nature and man-made things. The man-made buildings are put in between the park and the sky, as the man-made buildings are engulfed in nature rather than the case that the park was surrounded by man-made buildings.
Also, the picture is only crooked because it was scanned crooked.
