Juggling Club Dragon
Date: College Second-Year, March 24th, 2012
Time: Several hours of sketching and coloring with PhotoShop
Materials: Pencil for original sketch, Adobe PhotoShop and DigiPro Tablet to trace my drawn image with a paintbrush in PhotoShop.
Description: There was a juggling club I was in that needed a T-Shirt design for their Juggler’s Festival this year, and they asked me to do it. Since this was the Chinese Year of the Dragon, I decided to take advantage of the timing and use it as an excuse to put a dragon on it! This is a similar design as my Rose Dragon, where it shows a Dragon circled around a rose; this is a Chinese Dragon circled around a juggling club (or what some may call a juggling pin, bowling pin shaped). The colors: red and yellow, are Chinese New Year colors, representing luck and fortune. The actual T-Shirt design had less blending than this, and it was on a grey T-Shirt with text that said the juggler’s festival.
Artist Comments: I got a lot of compliments on the T-Shirt and this was apparently the first year they ever sold out their T-Shirts! Everyone was very impressed with the shirts and I’m happy that I got recognized for the design.
Juggling Club Dragon Poster
Date: College Second-Year, March 28, 2012
Time: around 30 minutes – 1 hour
Materials: Adobe PhotoShop
Description: I used the Juggling Club Dragon and added text for the poster. Red, orange, yellow, black, fire, flames, flare, dragon, tail, Chinese, year of the dragon, juggler’s festival, easter weekend, club.
Artist Comments: Just wanted to show off the final poster product. I think it looks nice all together and formatted with PhotoShop tools.
Phoenix
_Date: College Second-Year, May 7th, 2012
Time: 2-4 hours
Materials: Adobe PhotoShop, DigiPro Tablet
Description: A red, orange, and yellow phoenix, fire-based, flying through the air with wings spread. Eye, beak, flames, fiery, soaring, bird, mythical creature, flapping, detailed, feathers, long tail.
Artist Comments: I drew this for a friend’s birthday. He really liked phoenixes so I created this as a favor. Originally, I was going to draw him in his fencing outfit on top of the phoenix but I ran out of time and I have no confidence on my human drawings. He loved the picture though =)

Phoenix Eye
_Date: College Second-Year, May 7th, 2012
Time: 10-30 minutes for just the eye of the phoenix
Materials: Adobe PhotoShop, DigiPro Tablet
Description: A red, orange, and yellow phoenix head with a detailed eye, fire-based, black pupil, golden fiery eye, mythical creature, bird, detailed, shine, iris, beak, feathers.
Artist Comments: I spent quite a bit of effort detailing the eye, but people can barely see it when you look at the entire phoenix, so I cropped out the rest of it so that the focus could be on the eye of the phoenix. I like to think I’m really good at eyes.
