Abstract
Date: High School Junior, September, 2008
Time: Less than an hour (?)
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil
Description: A pencil drawing of two random three dimensional shapes. The background shows they are in the corner of something like a box. The shapes look like a two square-ish hooks connected to each other at the base. Pencil shading, black, white, gray, dark.
Artist’s Comments: This random abstract popped into my head while I was bored in school (as most random things pop into my head while I’m bored in school…) but this one actually had a form that I could draw, so I drew it. Sometimes it looks like an optical illusion because of the shading, like the centers of both objects are connected to each other, but it wouldn’t make sense for them to be that way because of the way a part is in front of another.
