Spiral Sphere
Date: High School Junior, December, 2008
Time: A few hours (?)
Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil
Description: A pencil drawing of an orb or sphere that has a thick three-dimensional spiral coil wrapped around it. It fits to the sphere and the coil ends with a point on both top and bottom ends. Pencil shading, black, white, gray, dark.
Artist’s Comments: This looks like it could be one of my Snakes and Orb drawings, except there is no snake head. I felt it would look more symmetrical without one. Some people said they think it is two snake tails instead of a tail and a head, but only because they had seen my snake and orb designs and expected the spiral part to be a snake.
