Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil
This looks like it could be one of my Snakes and Orb drawings, except there is no snake head. I felt it would look more symmetrical without one.

Date: High School Junior, December, 2008 Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil I drew this in December, however it is a copy of one I drew in freshman year (2006-7). However, the original was on lined paper, and someone had accidentally marked it with a pen (as they traced it along with their pen as one would trace their finger along it, the pen accidentally touched the page and made marks). So I drew another one that is on blank printer paper and does not have accidental pen marks. I only call this 2Le because someone once mentioned it looked like a cursive 2Le all mixed together. Date: High School Junior, September, 2008 Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil This random abstract popped into my head while I was bored in school (as most random things pop into my head while I’m bored in school…) but this one actually had a form that I could draw, so I drew it. Sometimes it looks like an optical illusion because of the shading. Date: High School Junior, September, 2008 Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil I was thinking about how to get more shading practice with simple objects (like snakes). I had an idea about long ‘tubes’ twisting around each other or around a light. After fixating on this idea, I began to make it more dramatic. This is the result. Date: High School Junior, September, 2008 Materials: Mechanical 0.9 pencil I decided to make the anime eyes look more three–dimensional (even as cartoons) and tried to imagine the head rotated a few degrees. On a fun note, the bottom right eye used to be just the iris and pupil, but it scared me a little bit, so I added the eyelid. |
